God - a perspective

Ganesha Stotram - Vakrathunda mahakaya Suryakoti samaprabha
Lingasthakam - Dinakara koti prabhakara lingam,tat pranamami sadashivalingam
ayyapa sharanam - Koti surya prakashane - sharanam ayyappa

So, Is God somebody equivalent to the brightness of 10 million suns?

Possessed people all over the world, and those who claim to have seen Them, [using Them, instead of a Him/Her to explicitly avoid the Gender association] say they experienced a brightness which is as much as billions of suns put together.

Is God, all the energy and matter in this world.?
Then,
God = All the matter in this world + All the Energy
= The energy of the matter + All the Energy
= [Mass of the universe]x[square of the speed of light] + the energy of the universe

Does this make God as somebody who has within Them, the sum total of the energy of the whole universe?
Is this what the first three extracts from the scriptures try to convey??

But there is one more dimension, which needs to get clear.

It is about the control for the energy and the authority on when to get energy in to Mass and into what form.

So does that make

God = {[Mass of the universe]x[square of the speed of light] + the energy of the universe}
x {Logical control factor on deciding and controlling the mass and energy}

Well, doesnt that translate into Advaitam and Thiruvilayadal Concepts??

I think you have a point there. It may be possible to explain God even within the context of the Theory of Relativity and Quantum Mechanics but wasn't Einstein himself who said "God doesn't play dice with the universe" :-)

Brahman is beyond the mind, beyond the senses, beyond understanding as we know it.

Cool...Vedanta says

Aakasha(Matter)+Prana(Energy)+Mahat(Supreme Intelligence) = Material World.

I think you made a striking analogy with is (btw, I love analogies). From what according to some eminent scientists, there seems to be a perfect harmony between quantum physics and Vedanta. I would like to know more on these areas.

True, if understanding brahman is as simple as writing a blog, all our us wud be shankaracharya/madhwacharya/ramanujacharayas.

Yes Vedanta, and ofcourse even simple concepts of Indian philosphies/religions are strengthend by the growth of science and not threatened.

Nice read....

J. Krishnamurthi says
"God is unknown... and with known (mind) how can you perceive the unknown..."

My rant is
By defining energy, matter, speed etc..you are defining god in the form of physics...ie viewing god with a 'physics' lens to it...

some may view it mathematically as an equation...most of them give a human form and worship..but to really know the unknown we have to come out of the concept of viewing things from our lens..
